Yes I am giving my best effort in this class. Yes I always work to the best of my ability's. Instead of giving 100% in class im gonna give 103%.  :)

Risk in Cyberspace

What are some of the risks in cyberspace?  How can you avoid these risks?  What should you do to protect yourself when using social media such as Facebook, Twitter, Blogger, etc.?




Some risk in cyberspace is that teens are more likely to explore out-of-the-way nooks and crannies of cyberspace, they're more likely to reach out to people outside of their immediate peer groups and, sadly, they're more often preyed upon as victims by pedophiles and other exploiters.You can avoid these risk by knowing where you are in cyberspace. Know who you are talking to on the web and dont give any private information about yourself.  

Computer Ethics

You walk in to the computer classroom.  You sit down at your computer.  You notice that the computer was left on.  Someones online accounts, photographs and classwork is open.  What is the right thing to do?  What would you do?  Why?  Should you go into the other persons accounts?


The right thing to do in this situation is to log out of this person account. In my pass experience I would do exactly that, which is to log off that persons account. If i was on the other side of that situation i would like the person to do exact thing for me. No one should violate someone privacy by going into their accounts. (y)

Friends over the Web

A "boy/girl" friends you through Facebook.  He/she is exactly your age, likes the same things as you, likes the same music you do. After a few weeks of chatting, he/she asks you to meet him/her.  What do you do?


I probably wouldn't have a problem with it because i believe i can protect myself. Just incase im not sure about the situation i probably will bring a friend along with me.

Why do you think you should engage in the highly collaborative and interactive Web 2.0 in a safe and responsible manner? 


I should engage in highly collaborative and interactie Web 2.0 in a safe and responsible manner to protect myself from scam. I will also prevent myself from geting into  deep trouble with someone and or the law.

Internet Manners

Why do you think it is important to have good manners online?



Its important to have good manners online to attract good friends. It also prevents enemies, no one wants an enemy they don't really know. :) 

"How to videos"

What do you think are two advantages to watching how to videos?  Would you rather watch a video tutorial or read a text tutorial?


An advantages of watching how to videos is learning something new with a visual aspect.
Another one include the effectiveness the how to video does to make the user really understand how to use it. I would rather watch a a video tutorial then read a text tutorial because thats just the type of person i am. Im more of a visual person then a text person.

What would you do if you witnessed a situation similar to this? 


If I witnessed a cyber bullying situation, I dont know if i would do anything immediately. My response is gonna change depending how far and how disgusting they get to the bullied girl. In that case I'll give them a piece of my mind and might end up giving them more.

Bullying

Tell us your ideas about preventing bullying — and dealing with it when it does occur. Do you think laws like the one in New Jersey will help reduce instances of bullying? What do you think teachers and schools can do to improve school culture and reduce bullying? What approaches do you think can be effective? Do you see this problem getting better, worse or staying about the same in your school or community?


Laws like the one in New Jersey will help reduce instances of bullying. There was an instance where a male college student who attended Rutgers University,  who committed suicide because of some students who was bullying him. The students  showed a video of the male student having sex with another man. The male student was so embarrassed the he killed himself. 


Teachers and schools cant do anything to improve school culture and reduce bullying. Some approaches that can be effective might be more surveillance for bullying and a costly penalty for being reported or caught. At a North Hunterdon HS, students will be told that there is no such thing as an innocent bystander when it comes to bullying. They have been told that if they see it, it is there responsibility to try to stop it. 


The problem of bullying will get better. It seems about the same in my school and community. There are improvements for this epidemic statewide. There were 2,846 such reports in 2008-9, the most recent year for which a total was available. Just remember bullying will never end if the bullied are to afraid to reach out for help.

Problems People Face

What would you do if someone created a page on Facebook using your name and information?  How is bullying handled in your school and community? Do you feel the rules and policies are adequate? Are they effective?


If someone created a Facebook page using my name I would try everything in my power to get it removed and deleted from the site. Bullying in my school is not handled effectively in my school or computer. I do feel that the rules and policies are adequate and fair to an extinct. Because of less fighting and conflicts, I do think the rules are effective. 

Cyberbullying

The Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights becomes law in the state of New Jersey. Did New Jersey go too far with this law, or is it appropriate and necessary action? Why or why not?

  
So New Jersey past Anti-Bullying bill of rights becomes law. While it will scare people from bullying other people, it will not stop the cause. Bullying is part of life in which the strong survive. I'm not only talking about the physically strong but also the mentally tough individuals. Children who overcome bullying also become self empowered, this makes them stronger against life and their future. 

Teenagers and the Internet

Do you think that teenagers are more likely to get into trouble on the Internet than young children?  Why?


Teenagers are more likely to get into danger on the Internet because they explore more of it then younger children. Most young children go on the internet to play online games which provide little danger to them. 

Danger of the Internet

What do you think are the dangers of when using the Internet? 

While there are lots of advantages of using the internet there are several dangers. These include hackers attempting to steal private information from people. This could be from your social security number to credit card information. For all of you out there, be careful using the internet because you can be given the wrong person your precious information.   (y)

Technology

Does modern technology make life more convenient or was life better when technology was simpler?

Modern technology does make life more convenient. Where would people be without their "gps" in the cars. Technology allows everyone to evolve as people. While it does have setbacks, it allows people to  better themselves. We would still be worrying about the universe outside of the earth. Without technology we would live as cavemen.
